These bands have often played free for benefit concerts... And there are a growing number of bands (playing other kinds of music too) who will play on Emma's conditions: you play for what comes in at the door, in general no minimum guarantee (but if the income at the door is low, it is often supplemented by the bar and that's the way it should be), and there are no contracts signed.
