This is a record of modern Indonesian music that uses traditional instrumentation and classical degung forms. The degung ensemble is comprised of: one flute or suling player; a drummer or kendang player; and five people playing a variety of tuned gongs and metalaphones. This particular group, Group Gapura, is made up of some of Java's musicians.
