Shallow hairlines and long marks on vinyl may cause light background noise. Housed in generic DJ sleeve.
Notes:
Solo album from Matt Smith, guitarist for Strike Anywhere, Liar's Academy & The Exploder and was sold on a Strike Anywhere tour. There was a test pressing run [THIS ENTRY that was given away on a previous tour. The following info is from him in an email response to a question about the album:
i'll see what i can dig up. it's been a long while.
i pressed 300 copies, all with white labels that were hand decorated. all the jackets were also handmade, but i think only 50 or so jackets ever existed.
the band is called Mediocre
the record is called Average Joe
i made a rubber stamp for that info and the record title is encoded in a clever calculus joke.
most of the music was recorded while i was living in seattle in '92. every instrument on the record was played or sequenced by me except for the fiddle on Eulogy for Fiddler's Green, my then-GFs voice on 100% (not a sonic youth cover, btw,) and the choir on (everybody has) dreads.
